Snipword isn't in the Share sheet

Select text, tap Share, scroll the row of apps to the end, tap More, and turn on Snipword. You can drag it to the front of the list.

How do I save with one gesture after copying?

In Snipword, open Settings › Set Up Quick Capture. It adds the "Snip" shortcut and shows how to put it on Back Tap, the Action Button, Control Center or AssistiveTouch. In Snipword's iOS settings, set Paste from Other Apps to Allow so iOS doesn't ask every time.

On the Mac, Snipword isn't in Books' right-click menu

Apple Books on the Mac doesn't offer Services, so "Save Word to Snipword" and its keyboard shortcut don't work there. Instead, select text and Copy (⌘C), then click the Snipword icon in the menu bar › Snip Copied Text (or right-click Snipword in the Dock). Passages from Books are filed under their book. Turn on Settings › Open at Login so the menu bar icon is always there. Other apps work with right-click › Services.

The Safari bubble doesn't appear

Turn on the extension: on iPhone and iPad, Settings › Apps › Safari › Extensions › Snipword; on the Mac, Safari › Settings › Extensions. Allow it on all websites. Then select some text on a page.

A translation is wrong or in the wrong language

Tap the pencil next to the translation in your Dictionary to correct it. Choose the language you translate into in Snipword › Settings › Translation.

My words don't appear on my other devices

Make sure every device is signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud turned on for Snipword. Snipword › Settings › Your Data shows whether iCloud is on.

What does Snipword Pro add, and is it a subscription?

Pro is a single one-time purchase, not a subscription. It unlocks unlimited saving, flashcards and practice, export (Anki, CSV, PDF, Markdown), tags and filters on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Everyone gets 7 days of everything free; after that the free plan keeps 5 new snips a day, translation, definitions, search, backup and restore.

I bought Pro on another device

Open Snipword › Settings › Restore Purchase while signed in to the same Apple Account.

How do I back up or move my words?

Settings › Your Data › Back Up All Snips saves a spreadsheet (CSV) of everything. Restore from Backup brings it back, skipping anything already there. Both are free.
